Jeana Legue served a four-year term in the U. S. Marine Corp, after which she moved to Prince George’s County, MD, where she continues to reside. Since moving to the DC area she has worked mainly in the nonprofit and not-for-profit sectors where her accounting career began. She attended Strayer University and received Bachelor’s Degrees in Business and in Accounting, graduating summa cum laude in 1994. She went on to manage the accounting departments for two not-for-profit organizations. For the last 14 years, she has been an accountant for a nonprofit in Prince George’s, MD.
Jeana left accounting for 4 years to teach at her church’s school, mainly teaching middle school history. She loves children and history, and has a strong conviction that our children should know and understand their history.
Jeana’s compassion for young people and those in need led her to serve in her church’s missions ministry and youth ministry for several years. She hopes to serve the Gateway Second Chance Foundation with that same compassion, and appreciates the opportunity that the Foundation affords her to give into the lives of our young people.
