Director Ogletree has had over 28 years of extensive management and leadership experience. He has been a senior leader (an Assistant Agent in Charge) with the Federal Bureau of Investigation; and, subsequently, after retiring from the FBI, a Senior Assistant Vice President of Wells Fargo & Company.
While with the FBI, his wide range of management and leadership experiences included such responsibilities as: Directing Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence, and Weapons of Mass Destruction investigative operational programs; leading establishment of a various collaborative relationships with public and private organizations to disrupt and mitigate national security threats and threats from Homegrown Violent Extremists; and successfully establishing a collaborative relationship between a city’s law enforcement and community leaders representing population segments predominantly affected by officer involved shootings.
Following retirement from the FBI, Dir. Ogletree took a position as Senior Assistant Vice President with Wells Fargo & Company. He leveraged his FBI management and leadership experience to benefit that organization. He led development of strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders to minimize risk associated with privileged access to critical assets; with different internal working groups to devise strategies to reduce information security violations; and strategic alliances with the FBI and other federal organizations to strengthen the financial industry’s defense against external threats.
Deron earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information systems for Business Administration from Illinois Institute of Technology, and Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois. He is an active member of his church’s volunteer ministry and a long-time mentor of young men. He is also a founding and active and member of a Chicago nonprofit organization that mentor’s 6th through 8th grade male students from challenging neighborhoods. He virtually meets with the organization regularly to help drive the group’s activities.
